Hey! My name is Timothea Parris, I am the owner of Jloskinglo. This is our Story. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS) a common condition found in women. the symptoms include oily/dry skin, acne, mood swings, irregular periods or no periods at all, excessive hair growth, hair loss, etc. One day I was browsing the internet for natural DIY remedies to help reduce my acne scars and dark marks caused by PCOS and came across the Activated Charcoal Peel-Off Mask. It seemed very interesting so I did further research and decided to try it. I got all the ingredients needed, made the mask, and invited my friend over to try it because she also suffered from acne caused by her severely oily skin and I thought it would benefit her. We recorded the entire process and posted the pictures and videos on our social media pages, the responses were overwhelming because they actually worked. Everyone wondered what we were using and how could they get their hands on this magical product. I thought about it for a bit and then started selling them. In my search for Activated Charcoal, I came across a store that sold all types of cosmetic materials including soapmaking supplies, oils, botanicals, butter, etc. I had already researched soapmaking but didn't have a supplier to start trying it out so this was quite exciting. After constantly visiting the store for Activated Charcoal, Essential oils, and asking countless questions about soap making and ingredients, I started my soap-making journey using Melt and pour soap base and used it for a few weeks until I decided I wanted to know exactly what was in my soap. I formulated a few soap recipes and started to test them using the Hot Process soap-making method, I came up with a couple that I loved, and the rest was history. The name Jlo Skin Glo is a tribute to my mother and best friend who passed away in 2016, her name was Joanna but everyone called her Jlo. Jlo Skin Glo launched on May 9th, 2018, and was officially registered on November 12th, 2018. As the Glo Gang grew, I continued to research. I began formulating other skincare products such as body butter, lotions, body scrubs, liquid soap, face masks, facial toners, Yoni oil, Yoni bars, hair oil, facial serums, etc. I am still learning and constantly improving, my goal is to give you the best quality and experience when using Jlo Skin Glo's products.
